Chuck Haselwood's journey from a sectarian farm in Ellensburg to a renowned business owner and neighborhood leader in Bremerton is a testament to his willpower and entrepreneurial spirit. Birthed in 1923, Chuck's story started with a strong decision to leave behind the farming life and hitchhike to Bremerton, where he started his career working at a gasoline station. His service in World War II under General Patton just sharpened his drive, leading him to get in the pre-owned vehicle service after returning home. Partnering with Danny Jones, Chuck launched his own gasoline station and sold cars and trucks, eventually forming a long-term partnership with Bud Higgs to produce Chuck & Buds-- a car dealer that focused on customer support, using warranties unusual at the time.

Chuck's unrelenting drive for advancement led him to expand his business beyond used autos. Chuck's tradition lives on not simply in the autos he sold, yet in his deep dedication to his neighborhood, which proceeds to prosper in Kitsap Area today.
